Chief of Police to investigate deaths in custody

The Chief of Police, Major General Jose Armando Polanco Gomez admitted yesterday that some of the cases of deaths and torture in police custody, as condemned by the Commission for Human Rights last week, were due to excess force on the part of police officers and that he would investigate to see who was responsible.
