The judge at the Fifth Court of Instruction, Ileana Perez, ratified the coercive measure decreed against the former senator Tonty Rutinel Dominguez yesterday. This consists of a ten million-peso (RD$10,000,000) bail bond as well as travel restrictions and regular appearances at the prosecutor's office. Rutinel Dominguez, who is being detained at the Najayo jail, is accused of hitting his partner, had asked for his release pure and simple. The magistrate set a preliminary hearing date for 31 January.
