Japanese Dolls and Calendars

The Embassy of Japan presents its annual collection of Japanese calendars and an exhibition of traditional Japanese dolls (Ningyo). Some 150 calendars and the dolls are on display at the Museum of Dominican Man at Plaza de la Cultura. The traditional dolls are from the northern Japanese region that was devastated by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The exhibition is open from 12 January through 2 February, from 9am to 5pm, Tuesdays to Sundays.
