Economy, Planning and Development Minister Juan Temistocles Montas announced the launch of the National Development Strategy at the Presidential Palace today. The plan sets out the country's development until 2030. The law was passed this year and seeks to guide the efforts of all Dominican society, ensuring that social, economic, environmental and institutional goals are met.
Montas highlighted that the National Development Strategy is the fulfillment of an aspiration held by many to build a society that is richer, fairer and sustainable.
The legislation, which has had a high level of support from the national leadership, outlines the general monetary, energy and education policies that the state will be implementing over the next 18 years.
