Police and military teams are reported to be searching the mountains in the Enriquillo municipality, near the town of Polo in Barahona for a small plane that is believed to have crashed a few days ago. The crewmembers on board are thought to have been killed in the crash.
The Barahona security forces have been joined in the search by the Drug Control Agency (DNCD), but so far no trace has been found of the plane, which was believed to have been carrying drugs.
