View Full Version : PLD and PRSC discuss alliance

The PRSC and the PLD formally started discussions on Thursday February 9 to see if they could work together for the elections on 20 May.

The first meeting, which lasted around two hours, was aimed at laying the foundations for the next meeting, according to a press release issued by the PRSC.

El Dia reports that the PRSC was represented at the meeting by its president, Carlos Morales Troncoso, general secretary Ramon Rogelio Genao, acting president Joaquin Ricardo and secretary Maximo Castro Silverio. Roberto Martinez Villanueva, Louis Bogaert and Jorge Dargam also took part.

Representing the PLD were the general secretary Reinaldo Pared Perez, Francisco Javier Garcia, Cesar Pina Toribio and Temistocles Montas.

At the end of the meeting both party secretaries, Ramon Rogelio Genao and Reinaldo Pared Perez, said that the meeting had been very harmonious.

Genao said that the next meeting would be held next week to examine the themes of any alliance between the PRSC and the PLD and an agreement on the needs of the nation before the election and how they might establish a new government.

He said that the next meeting was scheduled for next week.
