I pretty much gave up trying to book a room at Hotel D'piero and have managed to get 2 rooms at Sea breeze but can't find much in the way of reviews for this place, are they chica friendly? near the action, any current info would be helpful.

Only stayed there for one night so can't really give an in-depth review... The room I was in was an adequate place to sleep and fuck, and that's pretty much all I was there for. Couldn't tell you anything about the pool area or any other outside-of-the-room amenities.

Absolutely chica friendly.

It's right near the corner of Dr Rosen and Alejo Martinez so roughly a 3-4 minute walk to the strip.

I stayed there on two occasions, both 2009 or before. I highly recommend a room towards the rear of the property, a lot quieter from all the moto noise you would be sure to hear at night in a room in one of the buildings closest to Alejo Martinez. Was $40 per night, no specials. With only 32 rooms, the owner, Jihad has no incentive to rent out his rooms at a cut rate price. When I was there, he boasted that he was usually 80-90% full throughout the year and if he was sold out, he would send his overload to the New Garden.

Pool is not large but suits the purpose. Rooms were ok, not spectacular. Flat screen tv's mounted on wall, the safe was ok for me, some others had issues with them (hello MikeLodge!), had decent water pressure in the shower and I never had a problem with a lack of hot water, on the edge of the central downtown area, only a 3-4 minute walk to all the shit. Security always required chica's cedula and also you to escort them to the gate when she was leaving. That was a bit of a pain in the ass if she had to leave at 7 or 8 am as I hated to wake up then to walk her out. But, in retrospect, it is a good policy. Just a safety precaution for the customers who are staying there.

There is a small shop just to the left of the entrance for changing money if necessary, cigars, other assorted odds and ends. Laundry just around the corner from all the Haitian tourist shops, internet shop across the street, plus Jihad can answer any questions you may have about Sosua and the surrounding area. He always treated me well.

I had a good experience and would have no reservations about staying there again. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Decent place for the money. Jihad is a cool guy. I was suprised that you have to give the thumbs up before they return the cedula to a chica, nice security!:)

Jihad sold the place

the new owners are cool and jihad is still around on occasion....they have acquired new beds, tvs and safes....the rest of the staff has remained....still $40 a night. Rooms are smallish but serves the purpose. water is hot, ac is cold and cable reception is clear.

Internet/phone/money exchange directly across the street

No complaints...love the place and its just far enough from the action.

Just talked to Hotel D'Piero and the reason you had trouble is you sent a message from a phone asking for certain dates and never left any contact email to get a reply. Sea Breeze has dozens of threads full of info.

Some people may have bitched about the safes but only you seem obsessed by them. Let it go ML before you lose what little credibility you have left.
