Dominican Navy search and recovery teams have found three more of the victims of last week's yola tragedy, bringing the total number of fatalities to 55. Diario Libre mentions two more bodies while Listin Diario lists three more found during sea searches yesterday, Monday February 13. The Navy and other groups decided to suspend the search for more bodies in the Bay of Samana one week after the event. Only 14 people are known to have survived the sinking of the boat, which was overloaded with 75 passengers on board.
The latest bodies were found near the mouth of the Cano Hondo River, near the Los Haitises National Park.
