The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reported today that a frontal system moving slowly over eastern Puerto Rico would keep temperatures lower for the next day or so. There will also be some light showers over the northwest, north, southeast, the central mountains and along the border.
An important note is that the Onamet says that there will be abnormal wave conditions from Cabo Engano to Montecristi, posing hazards for small craft. Waves are expected to reach a height of 11 feet close to the coast and a small craft warning has been issued. Santo Domingo is expected to have some light showers and cloudy skies.
