According to Gazprom communications representative Denis Ignatiev following a visit to the Dominican Republic last week, Gazprom International SA, a subsidiary of Moscow-based oil and gas company Gazprom, will begin offshore oil and gas exploration in the Dominican Republic.
In a press statement Gazprom said they would consider helping the Dominican Republic to reduce its current energy deficit.
