I have my profile setup to email me notification of new replies to posts I have contributed to. Before, when i was always logged in, I could click on my email and it would take me directly into isoc to the post in question.

Now when I click on said email, 1st it brings me to a login screen (quite understandable), but then after loggin in, I get the following:

I.S.O.C. Forum Index
Information

The topic or post you requested does not exist.

If I leave that window open, return to my email and click on the link again, I finally get to the post in question.

I have also tested loggin in to isoc before cecking on my email, and the same thing happens, it wants me to log in (even though I already am) and still comes up with the above error message.

Hope this is enough info to track it down!

Mik

Ah beas, the problems related to the scrutiny of us IT professionals.

Checking for all possible problems is a cross I must bare!

Being in IT for 26 years now makes me have to check out all possible areas fro problems, it's in my nature by now, I just can't help it!

lol

Roll on 5:00pm I gotta get outa here, out on the water and have a beer, or 2, or 3.

Very odd worked perfect for me, this is the link I got, please post your link...

Ok just tested it in the BOD.

When I was logged in it would work perfectly.

When I was logged out I would get the error (topic doesn't exist) after logging in, but if switched back to my email window and clicked the link again it would work fine.

Again please post the links you are getting.

Well it worked for me too this time, here is the link I got:

http://news.insearchofchicas.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=66280#66280

Actually it got me here without having to log in at all, however did require me to log in before I could post this reply.

Could that have anything to do with me being the thread originator?

Very odd this link worked fine, does it work from this thread for you?

As for logging in to reply, this is publc forum so that is why you can read here before logging in, acually you could have posted anonymously.

Sorry I took so long, but that lins was working fine, after I logged out and then tried it again. But, after I rebooted, and clicked on that same link, up cam the login screen, followed by the "The topic or post you requested does not exist " screen!
