El Nuevo Diario reports that CNTU transport union president Ramon Perez Figuereo, complained on Wednesday February 15 that the tender by the Metropolitan Office of Bus Service (OMSA) is "flawed, exclusive and full of favoritism." Perez Figuereo's complaint was delivered in the Presidential Palace on Wednesday morning. Perez Figuereo also called on the President to note that "according to the OMSA director, Ignacio Ditren, the winners are not transport companies and they are not registered as vehicle importers in the Law of Contractor for State Purchases." He said that some of these companies are registered as mechanical workshops, the number one clients of OMSA, which means that there is a commercial relationship with the entity that issued the tender. Perez Figuereo called on the President to investigate the relationship between the OMSA director and the owners of these repair shops, and asked for the tender to be declared null and void.
