Yesterday Thursday February 16, President Leonel Fernandez inaugurated seven public works in the southeastern province of San Pedro de Macoris, built at a total cost of RD$290 million.
They included two housing projects, each with 96 units, two schools, an ecological park, a library and a repaired road.
His first stop was at the Villa Progreso Santa Fe housing project at the Santa Fe sugar refinery, then to the sugar refinery in Consuelo, where he inaugurated a similar project and finally to the Malecon in San Pedro de Macoris, for the rest of the projects.
The Pedro Mir School, which has 16 classrooms, was built at a cost of nearly RD$50 million with capacity for 1,120 students.
