Yesterday Thursday February 16, First Lady Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez announced that she was instructing her lawyers to sue Marcos Martinez, the producer of the Television program "Diario 55" from Channel Super TV55 in Santiago, who claimed that she had an account in Danske Bank, in Denmark, allegedly containing EUR43.8 million.
She said that when she found out what he had said she was very surprised, and in a press release stated that if anything were to happen to her she asked her three children to carry on with the lawsuit until she is declared totally innocent and his allegations are proved false. She confirmed that she was convinced that the courts would prove her right.
Cedeno de Fernandez declared that neither as a mother, wife or First Lady would she permit anyone to throw garbage at her.
Police in Santiago denied that they had raided the home of Marcos Martinez.
