Executives from online newspaper Siglo21.com (http://Siglo21.com) have presented documents and are asking the authorities to investigate their case, on the grounds that the information indicates that the source of the alleged exchange between the First Lady Margarita Cedeno and ambassador Rosa Hernandez de Grullon apparently has an IP address that belongs to two leading PLD members. This is the first time, according to Hoy newspaper, that an e-mail account belonging to members of the ruling party has been hacked. The director and principal executives of siglo21.com said yesterday that the information, allegedly about Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez's campaign financing came from an Internet account in the name of a business belonging to Danilo Diaz and Francis Reyes, both prominent PLD members. According to a statement from newspaper director Radhames Gomez Sanchez, six days ago he received a series of documents indicating that the IP address corresponded to Novosit, a business belonging to Diaz and Reyes. The email messages suggested that the Banco Popular Dominicano would be paying for Margarita Cedeno's political campaign. Gomez Sanchez and his lawyers provided Novosit's IP address as well as its street address to reporters from Hoy and other newspapers.
