The Tax Office (DGII) has announced the extension for all fiscal year 2012 of the measures pertaining to the exonerations from payment of the anticipated tax payment on Income Tax, from the payment of the Tax on Assets and from the Retention of Income Tax on payments made by the State.
The measure is contained in the General Rule 01-2012 issued by the DGII and goes into effect starting today, Tuesday 21 February.
The tax exemption that favors the farming sector was introduced in 2008 in order to support the farmers and cattle ranchers who suffered huge losses from the effects of tropical storms Noel and Olga.
