Marco Martinez, the presenter of the Diario 55 show, did not appear on his program, yesterday, Thursday February 23, after it was revealed by the Danish authorities that the First Lady, Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez was not a client of Danske Bank.
Journalists in Santiago said that Martinez was not taking calls, not opening the door at his house and had not been to his office either.
Late last night a message was issued from his residence saying that he had gone to Santo Domingo, and in a telephone interview with 'El gobierno de la tarde' radio talk show, he confirmed that the source of his information was very credible and that he had documents to prove his accusations. He said that he placed no importance on the document stating that Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez had no relationship with Danske bank.
He also said that members of the PLD had tried to buy his silence without success.
According to Hoy, last night Thursday February 23 Martinez filed a complaint claiming that there was a plot to stab him to death, for which he blamed the Governor of Santiago, Raul Martinez and a journalist, Juan Bonilla.
