El Nuevo Diario reports that Santiago-based journalist and commentator Marcos Martinez has denied any ties to lawyer Jose Miguel Minier, and that he did not tell Minier anything about the PRD or the announcement he made on the alleged overseas accounts in the name of First Lady Margarita Cedeno. Martinez is sticking to his story that Cedeno has been amassing a fortune in a Danish bank, adding that the PLD vice-presidential candidate also had RD$13 million in CDs at the collapsed BanInter in 2003. Martinez added that the public relations director of Danske Bank, Kenni Leth told Danish newspaper Berlingske that European law prohibits the bank from releasing information on whether a person is or is not a client. He disputes the disclaimer released by the Superintendence of Banks on the deposit.
