Former mayor and communicator, Rafael Corporan de los Santos died of a heart attack in the early hours of this morning. He had attended a commemorative event at Color Vision, Channel 9, on Saturday when the studio that hosted his Sabado de Corporan Show was given his name. Corporan was mayor of Santo Domingo from 1990-94, representing the PRSC. He founded the Popular and Galaxia radio stations and was famous for his innovations on radio and TV.
His wake is taking place at the Funeraria Blandino on Abraham Lincoln Avenue in Santo Domingo.
