A group of First Lady Margarita Cedeno's lawyers, headed by Luis Miguel Pereyra, will file a lawsuit before the District Attorney of Santiago today, Tuesday March 6 against television commentator Marcos Martinez is only for supposedly having forged documents from a Denmark Bank, and not for defamation. She seeks to be indemnified for RD$10 million, and the money will go to a Santiago hospital. Lawyer Pereyra said the other charges that were expected for defamation and libel are secondary.
Martinez claimed that the First Lady maintained a bank account in Danske Bank of Denmark with EUR43 million. This was later refuted by the Superintendence of Banks of the Dominican Republic that presented a letter of the Danish bank.
