The confidence in the judicial security in the country that is being expressed by the Orange Dominicana telecommunications company executives has led them to invest US$150 million this year in order to implement a broad program of expansion, infrastructure and improvements in the network in the Dominican Republic, according to France-Telecom-Orange CEO Stephane Richard.

Richard is in the country on a working visit to plan the technological developments in favor of the company's clients who now total more than 3 million people, corporations and small and medium businesses. Richard was speaking during a meeting of media executives, with whom he discussed the goal of continuing to push innovations and investments.

On the question of innovations, the top Orange executive said that the branch in the country is one of the company's key units, with extraordinary growth results that allow the telecommunications company to maintain good positioning. He reported that they are including a chapter for democratizing mobile Internet services for education and national development within this year's planned investments, taking into account that this type of communication allows users to fulfill their main daily operations. Current investment by Orange in the country is around US$1 billion dollars, and they have duplicated their network since 2009.
