On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Attorney General has reiterated the country's zero-tolerance policy towards gender violence. Radhames Jimenez Pena called on women to contribute to the Justice System by filing complaints when they are on the receiving end of abuse, even if they need to go as far as to take them to his office. El Nuevo Diario said that the AG issued instructions to all District Attorneys to be "drastic" in these cases and to not halt the process of putting these abusers on trial.
