The February 2012 Greenberg-Diario Libre poll provides insights into the most pressing issues for Dominican voters, comparing the 2012 figure to that of the poll carried out leading into the 2008 presidential election. The leading concerns are: crime (51%, up f 13%), unemployment (38%, down 13%), cost of living (26%, down 4%), drugs and drug trafficking (23%, no previous statistic), corruption (19%, down 11%), education (16%, up 6 points), blackouts (12%, down 6%), health services (7%, down 8%).
The poll also asked which of the two leading candidates would deal best with each of these concerns.
