PRD presidential candidate Hipolito Mejia announced late Tuesday, 13 March that he had reached an agreement with PRSC Senator Amable Aristy Castro.
Mejia, accompanied by his campaign head, Cesar Cedeno, said that he hoped to announce details of the agreement next week.
Mejia made the announcement after briefly talking with journalists at the end of a meeting with the movement "Hairdressers with Papa" made up of female hairdressers and beauty salon owners in the capital and around the country.
The PRSC party registered an alliance with the PLD at the Central Electoral Board (JCE). In 2008, Amable Aristy Castro ran for President on the PRSC ticket and received 4.59% of the vote.
