Antonio Peter de la Rosa, better known as "Omega" or "El Fuerte", spent another night in police custody last night, Thursday, 15 March. He is accused of attacking a Univision cameraman, Cesar Serra, and a journalist, Yelena Solano when leaving the Cassandra award ceremony on Tuesday night.
The public prosecutor has given Univision until today to provide proof of the incident.
Although Omega has offered to pay damages, the Univision lawyers are hoping he will be remanded in custody, saying that they deplored his actions especially against women and a minor.
A young woman who filmed the event on her cell phone, which Omega took, giving her 6,000 pesos in return, said that although Omega had pulled her hair, she would not be pressing charges.
