I remember reading in the newspaper a number of years ago that Rush Limbaugh got into some trouble bringing in Viagra from his vacation to the Dominican Republic. The charge was something about "Bringing in drugs to America without a Doctors prescription".

My question is this. Can I go to the Doctor at the Terra Linda and get a prescription for Viagra, Cialis, the PILL, etc" and show that prescription to the police if I were to be stopped by Immigration at JFK?

Difference between you and rush limbaugh is that your name isnt rush limbaugh. the worst that can happen is they'll take them away from you unless youre bringing in some ridiculous amount of pills. You certainly wont make the headlines. ive had no problem bringing in 40 or 50 (no prescription).

Drug Enforcement Administration

21 CFR Part 1301

[Docket No. DEA-192F] RIN 1117-AA56

Exemption From Import/Export Requirements for Personal Medical Use

AGENCY: Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Department of Justice.

ACTION: Final rule.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY: The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is amending its regulations to expressly incorporate the restrictions on personal use importation imposed by Congress in 1998 and to expand upon those restrictions to curtail the diversion that has continued even after the 1998 congressional amendment. Specifically, DEA is limiting to 50 dosage units the total amount of controlled substances that a United States resident may bring into the United States for legitimate personal medical use when returning from travel abroad at any location and by any means. This regulation will help prevent importation of controlled substances for unlawful use while still accommodating travelers who have a legitimate medical need for controlled substances during their journey.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 14, 2004.

Rush Limbaugh is a bit fat idiot.
have brought whole boxes of La Pela back for my stateside Dominican friends. Limbaugh's problem stemmed from the fact that the name on his prescription bottle was not his own. I don't care if he had aspirin in there he was going to get stopped for that dumas chit.

I travel with a small kit bag which contains Prilosec OTC, Benadryl, Immodium AD, Zirtec, Advil, Moutrin and a few other OTC goodies both from the US and the DR when I travel there. Nobody cares.

They only fuck with you when they think you're fucking with them.

Luckily Ive never got stopped for anything but they honestly dont know what to look for even when then find it. Is the DR stuff even real? Is it at best generic? I keep a stash for my trips as well as when Im home. Just in case.

And, in case you didn't already know....

On Oct. 6th, 2011; The U.S. FDA approved tadalafil [6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadalafil#cite_note-5)to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a condition in male, where the prostate gland becomes enlarged causing obstruction to free flow of urine. Symptoms may include sudden urges to urinate (Urgency), difficulty in starting urination (Hesitancy), a weak urine stream and more frequent urination especially at night. The FDA has also approved tadalafil for treatment of BPH and erectile dysfunction (ED); where the two conditions co-exist.

I got shook down pretty good leaving POP today--my person, bag etc. I had my own prescription bottle of pills with a label plus a mix of pills that I picked up in DR and they did a quick look at the label through the ziploc bag the bottle was in. I don't think you have to worry about them looking to see what's in the bottle if it's got a label with your name on it and it's only one bottle.
