Public Health warns of dangers from unusual rains

The Ministry of Public Health called on the population to take measures to prevent outbreaks of diseases that are caused by heavy rains that are falling nationwide. The warning and call to duty was issued by the Minister of Public Health himself, Dr. Bautista Rojas Gomez, who called on the people to work with Public Health officials in preventing outbreaks of dengue, malaria, cholera, and leptospirosis. The Nuevo Diario is reporting that the ministry has intensified its work of prevention all over the country, especially in slum barrios and alleyways.
