Judge Miguel Angel Diaz Castillo of Peravia sent Julio Aquiles Arias (Bocho) to three months preventive custody. Bocho is accused of the death of Claudio Francisco Caamano Velez at a colmadon (cornershop/liquor store) on Sunday, 11 March. The same court granted bail of RD$100,000 to Jose Ramon Puello (Pitaka) who accompanied Bocho on the day of the killing. As admitted by Bocho, he never had the intention of murdering bystander Caamano. An alert Maikel Miguel Valdez, to whom it is said the bullet was aimed, dropping at the right moment and the bullet hit Caamano. Relatives of Caamano complained the judge had been too lenient.
