Listin Diario reports that a team of lawyers, representing the Foundation for the Recognition of Merit, Institutional Development and Social Assistance (FREMEDIASO), petitioned the Central Electoral Board (JCE) yesterday to prevent them from printing the ballot papers until the Constitutional court has ruled on a request to nullify the JCE resolution to exclude the photograph of the candidate for vice president.
The legal action was submitted on behalf of the Foundation by lawyers Eddy Enmanuel de los Santos Valdez, Luis Ramon Lara de los Santos, Eugenio Luciano Rodriguez, Alba Hortencia Alvarez Sencion and Orguel Pena Cuevas, stating that the exclusion of the photograph violated the Constitution of the Republic and international agreements.
