The many times No. 1 DJ in the world, king of trance Armin van Buuren is booked for what is expected to be a memorable night at Sans Souci Convention Hall on the eastern side of Santo Domingo this coming Friday, 23 March starting at 10pm. Van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100 poll four times in a row, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2011, he became second in the critically acclaimed popularity poll, obtaining a Top 3 position for the eighth year running. Being one of the world's most popular DJ's is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music, making the crowd go nuts.
Santo Domingo is the third stop on an American tour that has taken him to Panama City, and Tegucigalpa, Honduras, before traveling on to Miami. Armin: "It's always back to reality and the travel-mood. But it is what I love to do most, so I'm always happy to be back on it again. When you see that crowd going nuts in front of you, there's nothing else to do but to love it!"
General admission is RD$800, RD$1,500 and RD$2,500.
