President Leonel Fernandez visited Duarte province over the weekend to inaugurate infrastructure built at a cost of RD$1.4 billion and to supervise other works under construction in the area. He opened a multi-use facility in Arenoso and visited the Politecnico Professor Juan Bosch vocational high school, as well as sports installations in the area.
He was in Pimentel to supervise works at a public elementary school, paving in the town, and in La Pena for an event inaugurating the newly paved streets. He was also in Las Guaranas for paving of Aguas Vivas barrio streets and delivered a check for the start of construction of the Nuestra Senora del Carmen Catholic Church.
