The Central Electoral Board (JCE) says that the first test of the electoral results transmission was a success. JCE president Roberto Rosario said that the test used 1,270 scanning and transmission devices and 18 units for transmission of votes from abroad. The JCE press release says that the trial was a test of the integrity of the network, the effectiveness of simultaneous transmission from the voting stations, the electoral board, to verify the logistics, the capacity of response of the staff, the capacity of mobility of the equipment, testing of new equipment and security systems and contingencies that could affect telecom companies that interact with the JCE. The JCE is working with two telecom companies, Orange and Claro.
