The United States Embassy has announced that the cost of applying for Non- Immigrant visas, which include transit visas, will be increased from US$140 to US$160 from 13 April due to the costs of implementing security systems and improving the visa process.
The press release states that the current cost of the Non-Immigrant visa does not cover the actual cost of processing it and confirmed that all information about visa fees can be found on the Internet site www.travel.state.gov (http://www.travel.state.gov) and the US Embassy site at http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov
