All of today's newspapers are carrying the story of the resolution of the conflict between former baseball player Vladimir Guerrero and Major Renato Rojas Pena of the National Police. According to El Nuevo Diario, the two men reached a "friendly agreement" and the case was dropped. Bani District Attorney Constantino Beltre met with both men for several hours yesterday and they apologized for their conduct. Guerrero promised to continue to help the local community and the National Police, and stressed that at no time was there any intention to do harm. In a very brief comment Major Rojas Pena said that "everything was as before, a friendly situation."
