I'm a big Bora Bora fan. It costs a little extra, but it's worth it IMO. Also check out Hodelpa Garden Court. It's less than 5 minutes from STI.

Hodelpa is a hotel. While cabanas are pretty nice up that way, I'd prefer to spend the night in a real hotel.

But that's just me.

I stayed at ETHICS for 1200 pesos. Fairly nice place. Giant TV and a huge bed. The concept of toda la noche seemed incomprehensible to the cabana managers(6)! Pretty frustrating! The reco'd places wanted $50-$90. !

ETHICS is maybe 3 miles norh of STI, just up a road on the east side of the Ruta. And just after Hodelpa.
