The National Police have identified the killers of the lawyer who was gunned down last week in a parking lot in central Santo Domingo. Jose Antonio Evangelista Pimentel, 37, was killed in the Piantini area by a former Police corporal, Jerson Antonio Carpio Carpio, Franklin Domingo Mota Santana (El Bory or Waco), Victor Manuel de la Cruz (King Kong) and a fourth man known only as El Gordito. These men are being actively sought by the Police. Hoy newspaper says that the Police have identified the vehicle used in the murder as belonging to Jose Joel Rodriguez Munoz, but it was rented by Carpio Carpio for US$920 from the Skaylen Rent-a-Car in La Caleta. All the suspects have long rapsheets at Police headquarters.
