Police arrests 4 for stolen parts

The Santiago police have announced the prosecution of four vehicle spare parts shop owners who are accused of purchasing more than a million pesos worth of parts stolen from the Danilo Hidalgo SRL company, located on the Joaquin Balaguer Highway. The men under arrest are Antonio Betances, Lewinsky Jean Pie, an undocumented Haitian who works at El Secre spare part company in Puerto Plata, Carlos Sosa Mercedes and Ariel Munoz de Jesus, from whose businesses known as Auto Repuestos Betances (in Puerto Plata), El Chino and San Francisco Auto Part (in San Francisco de Macoris) the spare parts were recovered. The police said it is on the trail of a man named as Eligio Thompson Parra and another only known as "El Cojo" in connection with the same case.
