The Caribbean Jazz Tour is set for Wednesday, 2 May at the Salon Ambar of the Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino. The newest Santo Domingo jazz festival event is part of the commemorative events marking the celebration of the UNESCO-declared International Jazz Day on 30 April. The concert opens doors for the interplaying of well- known jazz musicians from the United States, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. It is planned as an annual event. Saxophonist and flautist Doug Webb, pianist, composer and arranger Corey Allen and bassist Chuck Bergeron from the US and Dominican Silvestre "Sly" de Moya on drums are playing in the May concert.
