President Leonel Fernandez inaugurated the Pedernales-El Manguito-Aguas Negras highway, along with several housing and road repairs projects with a total cost of RD$687 million yesterday, Thursday 19 April.
Present were Public Works Minister Victor Diaz Rua, the vice president of the State Electricity Companies (CDEEE) Celso Marranzini, Presidential Commission for Support and Provincial Development coordinator, Cesar Fernandez, provincial Senator Dionis Sanchez, businessman Juan Ramon Gomez Diaz, Pedernales mayor Luis Miguel Feliz and the governor of Pedernales province, Leo Vigildo Mendez.
The works completed include the construction of a drainage system and the paving of roads in the community of Aguas Negras.
