As part of its cost saving measures to reduce, American Airlines may close its Admirals Club lounge at Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo. The move would come with the closing of other Admirals Club lounges at airports in Kansas City, Washington and Panama City.
On Wednesday, 18 April, the Fort Worth-based airline outlined plans to reduce annual employee costs by US$95 million for 10,000 nonunion workers in a group covering agents, representatives and planners.
Last year, AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines announced tit would file for bankruptcy to achieve a cost and debt structure that is industry competitive.
