The Prosecutor for the National District, Intellectual Property Department Hector Valdez Romero has asked for an exit ban and bail payment in the case of bachata singer Anthony Santos, who is accused of violating Law 65-00 on the copyright of the song "Me quiero morir".
Hoy reports that Santos, whose full name is Domingo Antonio Santo Muniz, was supposed to appear in front of the Prosecutor on 18 April but did not appear on that date or on 23 April. Neither has he reached an agreement with Teodoro Rodriguez Perez, who maintains that he wrote the song.
