People are upset over all the political signage

The people of Santiago are expressing irritation at the lax enforcement of the rules on the use of public space for political propaganda. As part of the reaction, some people have placed plain white signs with black lettering apologizing for the visual clutter caused by the political parties. According to El Caribe, the Historical Center of Santiago, the elevated portions of the Monumental Avenue and the Estrella Sadhala as well as the area around the Monument to the Restoration have been flooded with banners and signs touting the different candidates. Everyone is pointing fingers, and most of the fingers are being pointed at the Mayor's Office, which is being questioned for its permissiveness in allowing so many signs to go up around the major avenues.
