Four young men drowned yesterday, Sunday 6 May, at the Boca Chica Dulce aqueduct section of the Manoguayabo River in Los Alcarrizos. The tragedy occurred when Christian Ariel de la Cruz, 23, Victor Gonzalez, 20 and Jordan Manuel Soto, 16, tried to save Jorge Estevez, 12, from drowning. The four were swept away by the river while bathing in an area where swimming is banned, because it is deep.
