Roberto Lebron, spokesman for the National Drug Control Department (DNCD), announced that four boxes of mangos with at least 10 kilograms of cocaine were seized at Las Americas International Airport cargo department yesterday, Monday, 7 May. Three Dominicans, Ramon Antonio Mendez, Roberto Eloy Gonzalez and Nelson Santiago and one Haitian, Jose Medi, were arrested. The drug consignment was discovered in four boxes of mangos intended for shipping on board Iberia flight 6502 to Madrid. The ships were addressed to Apifruit and Jesus Maria Esquicia Olaizola.
