What were the "discounted" tix going for? I paid $358 JFK-SDQ for a trip end of this month.

Right now Continental's lowest price seems to be 358.55 for the fall season travelling from Newark to Santo Domingo.

Guess who just paid $667 for a trip from Atlanta? It's to POP, not STI but since the subject was brought up...I thought I'd vent a little.

Crazy as that sounds, it's probably true. I have no complaints though (ok, the flight prices are insane!).

Ticket prices piss me off. I'm looking at $600 I try everything pop and Sti, a combo of them both. Its insane. I even look at a combo of EWR/BOS The problem with EWR is flights land late and I have a 4 1/2 drive after that. It just sucks. Guys in NYC area have it good.

When i checked on Delta prices for my trip (same dates) it was over $500... $373.55 on AA... Jet Blue was about $425 but the times of Jet Blue suck donkey dick!

On a positive note, I'll earn my free trip quicker on my Citi-AA advantage card. I think I'm over 28,000 miles now!

I'm sitting on about 60,000 Continental miles and about 120,000 AmEx miles.

I should use them one of these days but I keep finding $260-$290 flights to the DR and can't justify blowin 35,000 to save 300 bucks.

It absolutly kills me to cash in miles, especially when you guys get such great fares.... Thats how I can Justify spending $1100 to BKK, Its more like Buy one ticket to BKK get one POP trip free.

I know what you mean. I use them when the fares are over $450 and they are rarely over $450.

Now I'm pissed again! I don't get to save my miles for more expensive flights, because ALL Atlanta flights are expensive as hell!!
