The Department of Taxes (DGII) has announced that given that voting stations are being set up in many DGII offices nationwide, the deadline for paying the ITBIS tax in the Dominican Republic is being extended. The sales and value-added tax is normally due on the 20th of the month. However, the DGII will be accepting payments without penalty through Tuesday, 22 May.
