The latest Newlink poll has Danilo Medina winning the presidency in a first round with 54.2% to 42.6% of the vote for former President Hipolito Mejia. The poll of 1,737 potential voters was taken 4-6 May. The poll shows Medina consistently gaining over Mejia as the election date approaches.
