The administrator of the Banco de Reservas, Vicente Bengoa says that a note where the IMF supposedly details new taxes and charges for future application is a fake. He said the PRD is using it to discredit the PLD. In a press release, he said that the documents show the information as dated 13 December 2011, but it is actually a forgery of a document that was issued on 13 October 2006 when he was Minister of Hacienda. The note called for urgency to secure RD$80 billion to meet the fiscal deficit.
