Minister of Labor Francisco Dominguez Brito confirmed yesterday, Wednesday 16 May, that next Monday, 21 May, the day after the elections, will be a normal working day. There were rumors that Monday would be declared a holiday because of the elections. In a press release, however, Dominguez Brito reminded that all employers are under the obligation to permit their workers to exercise their right to vote, no matter what their jobs may be. Under Law 139-97, the Ministry of Labor sets holidays.
