Tonight, Thursday, 17 May, at 7pm, the Central Electoral Board (JCE) is hosting a cocktail reception to formally welcome the international observers. The event will take place at the Sans Souci Convention Center in Santo Domingo.
On Saturday, the observers will hold interviews with the presidential candidates as part of their work of monitoring the election process. The order of the interviews, from 9am to 12:30pm, was prepared according to the order that the Presidential candidates appear on the ballots.
According to the agenda, the first candidate that heads the list of meetings with the international observers is the PRD's Hipolito Mejia. The appointment is set for between 9am to 9:30am. At half-hour intervals, the next candidates are Danilo Medina (PLD), Max Puig (APD), Julian Serulle (Frente Amplio), Eduardo Estrella (DxC) and Guillermo Moreno (Alianza Pais).
